I've been hearing a lot about certain Walmart stores accepting Target coupons but have been slacking on verifying it. Well today I decided to give our local store a call to see what their policy is.
Although they will NOT accept a Target coupon they WILL price match an item according to the price of the coupon. So even though they cannot scan and take the coupon they'll adjust the price of the item to reflect the value of the coupon.
When I got off the phone I realized that I had just the perfect coupon to test this theory. If you were able to print the Target coupon for any Foodsaver system but have yet to get it free at Target, I suggest calling your Walmart to see if this scenario will work at your store:
Handheld Foodsaver System, rechargeable $19.44 ($19.99 at Target)
used $10/1 Foodsaver System, any (Target coupon) *used to price match Target
also used $10/1 Foodsaver System prinable (NLA)
Final: FREE
Now I do have to say that I can guarantee you won't be able to do this at every Walmart store. And I can also guarantee that some shoppers will run into issues at checkout even if you talk to the manager who says yes. A free Foodsaver system is worth a bit of trouble though. :)
